If you're considering partnering with Help The Persecuted, David and Lisa Floyd have some advice for you:
"Be careful. It might change you...or change your life."

When they saw an ad for Help The Persecuted, David and Lisa had no idea how their lives were about to change. They joined our Prayer Network and were gripped by the stories of persecuted believers. "They literally sacrifice everything ... including potentially their lives, their health, their livelihood ... to follow Jesus," David says.
As they learned more about our approach to rescue, restore, and ultimately rebuild lives, they were grateful for how their generosity led to lasting change across the Islamic World. David says, "This organization really uses money in an efficient way to be transformative in people's lives. It's sustainable; it's a sustainable operation. As a businessman, that really spoke to me."
Today, Help The Persecuted is woven into the very fabric of their lives. David says:
"Understanding persecution has caused us to look hard at our own lives and lifestyles, to ask what is right and good and appropriate."
Every week, Lisa prints the weekly prayer newsletter, using it in her daily devotions. "The level of detail, the names we get — it helps us understand exactly how to pray."

Looking forward, the Floyds are energized by what they see happening across the Islamic World. "Josh Youssef got me thinking ... there's a revival happening in the Middle East," David says. "The Holy Spirit is doing something unique there."
Lisa feels the same way. "We're excited about being involved in this revival. In a unique way, these persecuted believers are ministering to us. They're examples who cause us to be introspective about our own practices and faith. They are a blessing to us."
"Someday, when they're casting their crowns down, we'll be way in the back, cheering them on," David adds.
You can listen to David and Lisa share their story in the video below:
This year, we had a record number of 3,292 donors! We are so grateful for each one of you.
While we marvel at all that the Lord is doing in the Islamic World, we also marvel at what He is doing through the hearts and lives of those who hear these stories — and respond.
If you have never given to Help The Persecuted, we invite you to join us in our mission to Rescue, Restore, and Rebuild lives across the Islamic World. However, in the words of David: "Be careful. It might change you...or change your life."
