As we Rescue, Restore, and Rebuild the lives of persecuted believers in the Islamic world, our Field Ministers often have the opportunity to share the gospel and love of Jesus. And, because of your faithful support, that’s exactly what happened this week at a church in a closed country!
Nearly 200 children heard the gospel…and received school supplies, backpacks…and a book of Bible stories!
Their families are refugees from Syria who fled their home country because of war, ISIS, and a challenging economy…and most of them had no way to provide for the basic needs of their children as school started again.
At the event, these children heard the gospel, learned some Bible verses, and sang hymns! The teachers guided them in prayer together and then shared a Bible story and lesson about the love of Jesus. The local believers at the church that hosted the event will continue to follow up with each of the families, ministering to them and sharing more about Christ.
After the lesson, our Field Ministers Salam, Samar, and Bashar distributed the backpacks stuffed full with school supplies and a book of Bible stories!
Please join us in prayer for these children! May the Lord bless their studies…and may their backpacks be a reminder of His perfect love every single time they put them on to go to school each morning.
If you would like to give to outreaches like these, helping more children and other vulnerable people discover the hope of Christ in the Islamic World, thank you! You can make a gift here.
