FUNDED: Thank You
Esin and Kashm are sisters who had to grow up fast. Their parents divorced when they were young, and they had been on their own ever since. Thankfully, their uncle had converted to Christianity and reached out to the girls. They too accepted Christ.
As young women they were grateful to be pursuing their education. Esin was a sophomore in college, majoring in computer science and Kashm had just finished high school when the recent crisis in Afghanistan ensued, and they became targets.
They were hiding in their uncle’s house when the Taliban came sweeping through their building to record who lived there. Their uncle called a local church leader who brought burqas and claimed the women as his wives to authorities as they exited the building.
These sisters left Afghanistan with nothing and will be completely starting over as they journey to a new country where they do not speak the language or know the culture. They are overwhelmed.
Help The Persecuted has been given an upcoming deadline by the temporary host country for resettlement for Esin and Kashm, along with hundreds of other persecuted Afghans. We are currently assisting them with:
- Paperwork that must be completed for their resettlement
- Arrangements for flights to a new home country
- Temporary housing and living expenses once they resettle
